Luxembourg's salaire social minimum (SSM) is published officially as a native hourly rate and is auto-indexed via the échelle mobile des salaires. STATEC confirmed (29 May 2026) a new indexation tranche effective 1 June 2026, raising the cote d'application from 968.04 to 992.24 points (+2.5%). Standard adult unskilled (non qualifié, 18+): EUR 16.0192/hour = EUR 2,771.33/month. Hourly is derived officially from monthly using 173 hours/month (40h/week). Sub-minima (percent of unskilled rate): skilled worker (qualifié, with recognized vocational qualification) = 120% = EUR 19.2231/hour (EUR 3,325.60/month); adolescents 17-18 years = 80% (~EUR 12.82/hour); 15-17 years = 75% (~EUR 12.01/hour); reduced rates also apply to apprentices/students. Prior rate before this indexation (indice 968.04, since 1 May 2025) was EUR 15.6285/hour (EUR 2,703.74/month). A further indexation tranche is projected by STATEC for Q2 2027 (or possibly Q3 2026 if inflation accelerates).
