Ministry of Labor, Republic of China (Taiwan)Taiwan's "basic wage" is set nationally by the Ministry of Labor under the Minimum Wage Act and applies uniformly to all adult full-time workers (no age, region, or sector tiers). Both a monthly and a native hourly rate are published. Effective 2026-01-01: monthly NT$29,500 and hourly NT$196 (up 3.18% from 2025's NT$28,590 / NT$190); decided by the Minimum Wage Deliberation Committee on 2025-09-26 and promulgated via the Executive Yuan. The monthly rate covers regular full-time monthly-paid employees; the hourly rate (reported here as native_hourly) covers part-time/hourly workers. The basic wage excludes overtime pay and rest-day/holiday premiums. Cross-checked against humanresourcesonline.net and Wikipedia 'Minimum wage in Taiwan'.
