Minimum wage (gross)
Source: Lietuvos Respublikos socialinės apsaugos ir darbo ministerija (Ministry of Social Security and Labour of Lithuania) · effective Jan 1, 2026
Lietuvos Respublikos socialinės apsaugos ir darbo ministerija (Ministry of Social Security and Labour of Lithuania)Lithuania publishes BOTH a native statutory minimum monthly wage (Minimalioji menesine alga, MMA) and a native statutory minimum hourly wage (Minimalusis valandinis atlygis, MVA). Effective 2026-01-01: MMA = EUR 1,153/month (gross), MVA = EUR 7.05/hour (gross), up from EUR 1,038 and EUR 6.35 in 2025 (+11.1%). Both rates are set independently by the Government of Lithuania (Government Resolution No. 700, TAR 2025-10-16, code 2025-17211) and one does not have to correspond to the other. Figures are gross (bruto). Statutory full-time work week is 40 hours. The minimum wage applies only to unskilled labour; for skilled work employers must pay above the MMA. No separate statutory sub-minima for youth/apprentices (the same minimum applies; the national minimum is the legal floor for employees under an employment contract). weekly_hours_used=40 provided for reference only; the hourly figure is the official native rate, not derived from the monthly.
