Labour is a devolved (provincial) subject in Pakistan; rates are set by provincial Minimum Wage Boards, so there is no single uniform national figure. For unskilled adult workers effective 1 July 2025: Punjab, Sindh, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa = PKR 40,000/month (notified Jul-Sep 2025); the federal government kept the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) rate and Balochistan at PKR 37,000/month for FY2025-26 (Finance Minister confirmed federal rate unchanged). Reported figure = PKR 40,000 because Punjab alone (most populous province) plus Sindh and KPK cover the large majority of the workforce. Tier chosen: unskilled adult full-time worker (lowest/base category). Weekly hours = 48 (standard 8 hrs/day x 6 days; Sindh notification cites 26 working days/month, daily PKR 1,538, hourly PKR 192).
