The reported figure is the GENERAL ZONE rate of 315.04 MXN/day effective 2026-01-01 (up 13% from 278.80, composed of a 6.5% fixed increase plus a Monto Independiente de Recuperación of 17.01 MXN; DOF resolution published 2025-12-09). This general zone covers most of the country (the largest group of workers). There is a second, higher tier: the Zona Libre de la Frontera Norte (Northern Border Free Zone) at 440.87 MXN/day, applying only to municipalities along the US border. min_wage_monthly_local (9,582.47 MXN) is CONASAMI's own published monthly equivalent (daily rate x 30.4 days). weekly_hours_used=48 is Mexico's statutory standard workweek under the Ley Federal del Trabajo (max 8h/day x 6 days); a constitutional reform to reduce to 40h is pending but not yet in force.
