Vietnam sets statutory minimum wages by 4 regions (vung) under Decree 293/2025/ND-CP, effective 1 Jan 2026 (replacing Decree 74/2024/ND-CP), an average +7.2% increase. Both monthly AND native hourly rates are published. Monthly: Region I 5,310,000; Region II 4,730,000; Region III 4,140,000; Region IV 3,700,000 VND/month. Native hourly: Region I 25,500; Region II 22,700; Region III 20,000; Region IV 17,800 VND/hour. I report Region I (major cities incl. Hanoi/Ho Chi Minh City urban districts), the standard headline reference tier. The published hourly rate corresponds to monthly/208, consistent with the statutory standard normal working time of up to 48 hours/week (~208 hrs/month). Reported figure is native_hourly (25,500 VND/hr, Region I); monthly figure (5,310,000 VND) also provided for the standard monthly-paid full-time worker.
