Norwegian Labour Inspection Authority (Arbeidstilsynet)Norway has NO national statutory minimum wage. Following the Nordic model, pay is set via collective bargaining. Legally binding minimum rates exist only in ~10 sectors where collective agreements have been declared generally applicable (allmenngjort) by the Tariff Board, enforced by Arbeidstilsynet. There is no single "standard" national tier, so the reported figure is a representative sectoral reference: CONSTRUCTION, skilled worker = 264.32 NOK/hr (effective 15 June 2025). Other construction tiers: unskilled with no experience 239.61, with 1+ yr 249.00 NOK/hr. Selected examples of other sectors (per hour, adult, effective 15 June 2025): cleaning 236.54; electricians skilled 270.45; hospitality (18+, 4+ months) 204.79; freight transport 229.00; agriculture (unskilled) 182.80; fish processing skilled 240.96; passenger tour bus 218.62; maritime construction skilled 216.79. A new automotive-industry minimum takes effect 15 June 2026 (newly qualified 223.50, 1+ yr 237.00 NOK/hr). All rates per hour; no monthly conversion needed. Rates vary by sector, skill level and age (lower tiers for under-18s exist).
