Agência Brasil (official Brazilian government news agency) - Decree 12.797/2025National monthly statutory minimum wage (salário mínimo) set at R$1,621.00/month effective 1 Jan 2026 by Decree 12.797/2025, a 6.79% increase over the 2025 value of R$1,518.00. This is the single national rate applying to most adult full-time workers (the standard tier). Published monthly; the government also derives an hourly floor of R$7.37 and daily value of R$54.04, but the legal reference figure is monthly. weekly_hours_used=44 per Brazilian Constitution Art. 7 XIII (44 hrs/week, 8 hrs/day). Some states set higher regional floors (pisos regionais) for categories without their own collective agreements, e.g. São Paulo ~R$1,804 and Paraná R$1,984–R$2,275; these are sub-national exceptions, not the national rate.
