Rijksoverheid.nl (Government of the Netherlands) - Bedragen minimumloon 2026Standard adult full-time rate is the statutory minimum HOURLY wage (wettelijk minimumuurloon) for workers aged 21 and over: EUR 14.71 gross/hour, effective 1 January 2026 (a 2.15% increase from EUR 14.40 in H2 2025). Since 1 January 2024 the Netherlands publishes ONLY an hourly minimum; fixed monthly/weekly/daily minimums were abolished. The rate is indexed twice a year (1 January and 1 July). NOTE: from 1 July 2026 it rises to EUR 14.99/hour (already announced but not yet effective as of this date 2026-06-19). Youth sub-minima (percentage of adult rate) for H1 2026: age 20 = EUR 11.77 (80%), 19 = EUR 8.83 (60%), 18 = EUR 7.36 (50%), 17 = EUR 5.81, 16 = EUR 5.07, 15 = EUR 4.41. Lower BBL apprenticeship rates apply for ages 18-20. An 8% holiday allowance (vakantiebijslag) is mandatory on top of the wage. Reference monthly figure at 36 hrs/week is ~EUR 2,294.40 gross, but this is illustrative only and not a statutory minimum.
