(A) 376/2024]Malaysia has a single national statutory minimum wage of RM1,700/month, published monthly (no official national hourly rate). Set via the Minimum Wages Order 2024 (gazetted 4 Dec 2024), raising it from RM1,500. Implemented in two phases: 1 Feb 2025 for MASCO professional employers and businesses with 5+ employees; full nationwide enforcement for ALL employers (no exceptions) from 1 August 2025 after the deferment period ended. Effective date 2025-08-01 reflects full coverage of the largest worker group. No age/region tiers; a single flat national rate applies to Peninsular Malaysia, Sabah and Sarawak. Covers non-citizen workers and contract apprentices; domestic workers are exempt. weekly_hours_used=45 per the standard statutory normal working hours under the Employment Act 1955 (max 45 hours/week).
