Grant Thornton Slovakia (citing SR government regulation / Labour Code §120)Effective 1 Jan 2026, Slovakia's statutory minimum wage for the 1st degree of work difficulty is EUR 915/month gross. The government officially gazettes a native hourly rate alongside the monthly figure: EUR 5.259/hour at the standard 40-hour week. For shorter statutory work weeks the hourly minimum rises: EUR 5.429/hour at 38.75h/week and EUR 5.610/hour at 37.50h/week. The amount equals 60% of the average nominal monthly wage from two years prior (EUR 1,524 in 2024). Up from EUR 816/month and EUR 4.69/hour in 2025. Slovakia uses a 6-tier system by job difficulty; higher tiers carry coefficient multipliers above the base rate. The minimum also applies to part-time, agreement (dohoda) and seasonal workers on an hourly basis. One outlier source (CXC) listed EUR 870/month, which is incorrect; EUR 915/month and EUR 5.259/hour are confirmed by official gazette notices, minimalnamzda.sk, podnikajte.sk, and WageIndicator.
