Minimum wage (gross)
Source: Dirección del Trabajo (Gobierno de Chile) · effective Jan 1, 2026
Dirección del Trabajo (Gobierno de Chile)National uniform minimum wage (no regional variation). Chile publishes a MONTHLY "ingreso minimo mensual" (IMM), not an hourly rate. Reported figure CLP 539,000/month is the standard adult full-time tier (workers aged 18-65, the largest group), the legally in-force rate under Ley N 21.751, effective 1 Jan 2026. Other tiers under the same law: CLP 402,082 for workers under 18 / over 65; CLP 347,434 for non-remunerational purposes. IMPORTANT pending change: on 16 Jun 2026 Congress dispatched (despachado a ley) a reajuste raising the 18-65 IMM to CLP 553,553 (and the minor/senior tier to CLP 412,938), retroactive to 1 May 2026; as of mid-June 2026 it was NOT yet promulgated/published in the Diario Oficial, so it is not yet statutory. Once published it will supersede CLP 539,000 effective 1 May 2026. weekly_hours_used=42: Chile's statutory standard workweek is 42 hours since 26 Apr 2026 (Ley 21.561 "Ley de 40 horas," stage 2; reduces to 40h on 26 Apr 2028). Hourly not computed per instructions. Figures are gross (bruto) base wage.
